My passion and commitment to great food was inspired by my late maternal grandmother Mildred Ebb and my paternal grandmother Dorothy Mae Coleman, self-taught cooks who used fresh and high-quality ingredients. As a preteen and teenager, I spent time in their kitchens learning cooking techniques and watching them create distinctive southern meals.
After moving back to Maryland in 2016, I had the best opportunity to learn more about cooking specialty foods, and catering, by working as a caterer with The Two of Us Catering. Now I am pleased to bring some of grandmas’ favorite dishes and bold flavors to Mildred & Dottie’s Kitchen.
